Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, followed by a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Tarangire National Park, passing through the vibrant town of Arusha. During the drive, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know your Nafika Tours guide and learn about the journey ahead. Once you arrive, you’ll spend 4-5 hours exploring this remarkable park, which is renowned for its large elephant population and iconic, scattered baobab trees. Keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife, including giraffes, antelopes, lions, and, with some luck, cheetahs. Lunch will be served during the day, but be cautious of the cheeky vervet monkeys, who are notorious for snatching food! After your time in the park, you’ll head to Haven Nature Safari Camp for a delicious dinner and a restful night’s sleep under the stars.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
On the second day, you’ll start early and head to Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s 7 Natural Wonders. This breathtaking location is not just a geological marvel but also a haven for wildlife, with over 25,000 animals calling it home. Among these, you may be fortunate enough to spot the Big 5. The crater is home to around 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 gazelles, 200-300 elephants, and over 60 lions, as well as the rare rhinos. The Ngorongoro Crater, with its 610-meter depth and 260 square kilometers of rich terrain, offers a perfect setting for wildlife viewing. After spending 3-4 hours on a game drive, you’ll head back to Haven Nature Safari Camp for a delicious dinner and another peaceful night in the camp.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
On the final day of your safari, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s lesser-known gems. This park is a true paradise, featuring lush ground water forests fed by underground springs, making it a haven for wildlife and bird species. Here, you’ll see elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and large baboon troops. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, so be sure to scan the trees while you’re on your game drive. With more than 100 bird species to spot, including flamingos, it’s a birdwatcher’s dream. After an exciting morning of wildlife viewing, you’ll head back to Moshi or the airport around noon, bringing your safari to a close.
