Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 5:00 am. After a scenic 6-7 hour drive, including a stop in Morogoro for a delicious hot lunch, you’ll arrive at Mikumi National Park for an afternoon and evening game drive. The park offers fantastic opportunities to spot herds of impalas, elephants, Masai giraffes, lions, wildebeests, buffaloes, and more. Dinner and overnight stay at Camp Bastian, Mikumi.

Day 2: Mikumi to Nyerere National Park (Boat Trip on Rufiji River)
After breakfast at the lodge, begin your journey to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve), a 7-8 hour drive through some of Tanzania’s most untouched and beautiful landscapes. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route. Upon arrival, check into Selous Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, set out on a thrilling full-day game drive through Nyerere National Park. Expect to see a wide range of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, and more. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, and you’ll enjoy spectacular views of wetlands, dry grasslands, acacia forests, and distant mountains. Packed lunch will be provided during the game drive. Return to Selous Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Walking Safari & Return to Dar es Salaam
Start your final day with an early morning walking safari in Selous Forest, guided by an expert ranger. Explore the wilderness, learn about the flora and fauna, and even meet the local Bushmen to experience their way of life. Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast, then prepare for the return journey to Dar es Salaam. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, airport, or ferry terminal for your next destination.
