Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
Start your safari with a morning pickup from the airport or ferry in Dar es Salaam. Drive to Nyerere National Park, with a lunch stop at a restaurant in Kibiti. After a brief break, continue the drive, arriving in the afternoon. Check-in at Selous Safari Lodge and head out for an exciting evening boat safari along the Rufiji River. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive inside Nyerere National Park with packed lunches. Expect to encounter a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, and many more. The park’s diverse landscapes offer spectacular views, from wetlands to dry grasslands and acacia forests, with distant mountains on the horizon. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch and rest before continuing with another game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Nyerere National Park to Mikumi National Park
After breakfast with packed lunches, embark on a 6-hour drive to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon and evening game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to see zebras, giraffes, impalas, elephants, and more. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Bastian Camp.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, take a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with your packed lunch. Mikumi is home to a wide variety of animals, including zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, eland antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants. You will also have the chance to spot a wide range of bird species. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Bastian Camp.

Day 5: Mikumi to Dar es Salaam
After an early breakfast at the lodge, with packed lunches, begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam. As you pass through Mikumi National Park, you’ll have another opportunity to spot wildlife. Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel, ferry, or airport for your next destination.
