Day 1: Tarangire National Park
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. The drive takes about 4-5 hours, so relax and get to know your Nafika Tours guide. Once you arrive, you’ll spend 4-5 hours driving through the park, famous for its large elephant herds and scattered baobab trees. Other animals like giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs may also be spotted. Lunch will be provided, but be warned—the vervet monkeys are mischievous and love to steal food! At around 4:00 p.m., you’ll head to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and your first night.
– Meals: Lunch & Dinner Included
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
On Day 2, we’ll start early, packing up and heading to Serengeti National Park at about 7:00 a.m. Along the way, we’ll pass a traditional Maasai Boma, where you’ll get a glimpse of Maasai culture. Arriving at Serengeti around noon, you’ll spend the afternoon exploring its vast plains, searching for one of the world’s most iconic wildlife spectacles—the Great Migration. After the game drive, you’ll head to your tented camp/lodge for the night.
– Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Today, you’ll enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. The morning drive will take you deep into the protected area, where the stunning savannah landscape serves as a backdrop to the abundant wildlife. After returning to camp for a leisurely lunch, you’ll embark on another game drive in the afternoon. After dinner, relax and listen to the sounds of the wilderness while watching the changing colors of the African skies.
– Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we continue our game viewing in the Serengeti. With its vast 1,400 km² area, we’ll only see a small part of the park, but the heart of the Serengeti offers excellent chances to spot big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After your game drive, we’ll head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight. Be sure to pack warm clothes as it can get chilly and windy in the highlands.
– Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Another early start as we head to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. The crater is home to over 25,000 wild animals, and it’s possible to spot the Big 5 here. The crater is about 610 meters deep and 260 square kilometers in size, providing plenty of opportunities to view wildlife. While overnight stays are not permitted in the crater, we’ll camp nearby, where the altitude can make it quite cold. Be sure to pack thermal pajamas, a knit cap, and light gloves for warmth.
– Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park
On your final day, we visit Lake Manyara National Park, a smaller but beautiful park. This hidden gem is filled with wildlife, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and large baboon troops. The birdlife is spectacular, with over 100 species to see. The park is also known for its tree-climbing lions. After a morning game drive, you’ll head back to Moshi/Airport by 3:00 p.m.
