4 Days Northern Tanzania Safari

Experience the breathtaking wildebeest migration in the Serengeti, one of Earth’s greatest wildlife spectacles. Thousands of wildebeest and zebras move together across the plains, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our migration safari package offers the chance to witness Africa’s largest overland migration, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. With at least 4 days, you’ll explore the Serengeti and nearby parks like Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, providing a rich safari adventure.

The best time to experience this is from November to August, with April and May offering ideal conditions for dramatic river crossings.

Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park, with a 4-5 hour drive ahead. Along the way, you can relax and chat with your Nafika Tours guide. Upon arrival, you’ll spend 4-5 hours exploring the park, which is famous for its large elephant population and impressive baobab trees. Other animals like giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs may also be spotted, although sightings are not guaranteed. Lunch is provided, but beware of the mischievous vervet monkeys, who might snatch your food. At around 4:00 pm, you’ll exit the park and head to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and your first night’s rest.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
Start your second day early with a 7:00 am departure towards Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass by a traditional Maasai Boma and get a glimpse of Maasai life. You’ll arrive at the Serengeti around noon and spend the afternoon exploring its endless plains, searching for the famous annual migration. After your game drive, you’ll head to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
On day three, you’ll have a full day to explore Serengeti National Park. Spend the day observing the diverse range of mammals, birds, and reptiles the park is home to, and don’t forget to take in the stunning landscapes and sunsets. After a day of wildlife viewing, you’ll return to your tented camp or lodge for the night.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Start early on your final day as you head to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Not only will you be amazed by its scenery, but the crater is also home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big 5. The crater, about 610 meters deep and 260 square kilometers in size, offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, lions, rhinos, and more. After a fulfilling day in the crater, you’ll have lunch and be driven back to Moshi or Arusha, with a stop for souvenirs before heading to the airport or your hotel.
